Having outsourced their basic survival requirements to human cats have plenty of time on their hands (paws) to think about all sorts of other stuff. It is misleading to consider one single cat in isolation as they are known to be inter-connected into a huge wireless, neural, feline network. Here they use their phenomenal, combined processing power to hypothesize the world’s complex, unsolved philosophical and mathematical problems, and to mine for crypto currencies. Either that or they are imagining kitty porn.

I’ve seen cats stuck together during coitus literally screaming in pain, or pleasure. The whole foreplay thing is obviously mega important.

Sex.
Cat sex takes about two seconds.
To fit the foreplay, the pleasure and the actual reporoduction into so short a time takes a great deal of planning.

My cat was fucking weird (making him my perfect pet).
I did shift work and over a 5 week cycle there were only 3 lots of two consecutive days that I came home at the same time, yet there he was, despite having a cat flap in the kitchen door, waiting for me on the front garden wall.
I had a few scheduled half-days, when I'd get home at about 2pm. Again, there he was, waiting. Often, on those days, I'd stop by at the pub and have a pint and a chat with the afternoon crew in the bar, but the cat always seemed to know and compensated.
I even came home in different modes - sometimes by car (not always the same one), sometimes walking up the street from the station, and virtually every time, there he was; garden wall, waiting.
I considered that he'd simply plonked himself down and could have been sat there for hours, but my neighbours confirmed that they knew when I was coming home because the cat positioned himself there waiting for me. If he was in a neighbour's house when I was coming home, apparently he went fucking mental to be let out.
He also had a habit of eating my lodger's dope if he was dumb enough to leave it out, unwrapped, but that's another story.

We had a ginger Tom who was a prolific hunter & would disappear for hours on end and usually come back with some kind of prey as a trophy.
Rats were his speciality though & he would reguarly drop them at my feet and on one occasion on my chest as i slept which prompted me to do away with the cat flap.
He like all other cats would spend most of the day loafing before coming to life at night.

Our cat is known as the Sheldon gangster. She terrorises all the dogs, they cross the street to walk round her. I have seen myself what she gets up to. She is brilliant. She knows when the dogs are being walked. So her daily schedule is, breakfast, garden, sleep, lunch, garden, sleep, terrorise the dogs, watch West Ham if they are on the t.v., fuss, food, sleep then out for a night on the town.
What a life.

He might be thinking that if a human was put in a box he could be either dead or alive as a result of its fate being linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur.
Then again he might not be thinking that.

All cats are different. We've had a number over the years and they can be outdoorsy wandering for miles Toms to indoorsy sleepy daydreamers.
Currently we don't own a cat but the next door neighbour has six and the youngest comes around all the time and for all intents might as well be ours BUT we never feed it so it always goes back for food. We know it goes in several other neighbours houses too so is a proper slag but generally comes in to sleep or just check things out.
They are sociable and domesticated but no two cats are the same.

Ours growing up were outside cats except for the harshest bits of winter.
Very useful if you have a huge garden and tried to store food like we did.
